UK Regulatory Compliance Manager:

 We are looking for a UK Regulatory Manager to lead and support TransferGo’s comprehensive compliance framework. In this role, the UK Regulatory Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all regulatory compliance activities meet local laws, regulations, and industry best practices. This includes developing, implementing, and continuously enhancing the UK compliance program.

The successful candidate will serve as a manager within the Compliance & Risk function, providing regulatory oversight, guidance, and expertise to support the company’s compliance framework. This role will report directly to the UK Head of Compliance and MLRO and includes responsibility for delivering high-quality reporting to both senior management and the Board. 

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Develop, update, and maintain compliance plan and deliver compliance monitoring in line with the annual plan.
  • Advise on UK regulatory requirements (e.g. Consumer Duty, Outsourcing, Payment Services Regulation) and support the design of compliant business initiatives.
  • Develop, update, and maintain compliance policies and procedures (e.g. conflicts of interest, ABC, Consumer Duty, Outsourcing etc.).
  • Provide compliance training and raise awareness across the business.
  • Prepare reports for internal governance committees and regulators.
  • Lead Consumer Duty compliance to ensure customer outcomes remain central to business decisions.
  • Coordinate responses to regulator and auditor information requests.
  • Ensure outsourcing requirements are complied with and perform regulatory assessments
  • Monitor regulatory developments, assess emerging risks, and oversee implementation of required change
  • Support ad hoc compliance and regulatory projects as needed.
  • Manage the regulatory incident framework, including investigations, analysis, and reporting.
  • Oversee FCA portal submissions and ensure timely reporting.
  • Promote and embed a strong culture of compliance and risk awareness.
  • Provide risk insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Track and report on testing results, incidents, and action plans.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated by management.

  • Proven experience in implementing compliance programs.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse teams and locations.
  • Experienced in engaging with regulators and reporting to executive leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory best practices and industry-specific regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills to identify root causes of issues and assess performance against established metrics and objectives.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate performance insights, convey quality expectations, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively.

  • Have experience in fintech and fast paced environment 
  • Have experience in scaling a function to full operational maturity
