Transfers That Will Make a Difference: Over $250,000 Raised to Help Ukrainian Children Learn Safer As Part of UNITED24, TransferGo and Visa Campaign

At the end of 2025, Ukraine’s official fundraising platform UNITED24, the global financial technology company empowering the world on the move TransferGo, and the world leader in digital payments Visa, launched Every Transfer Matters — a 2-month campaign designed to help ensure safer learning environments for Ukrainian children.

Between October 29, 2025 and January 7, 2026, every transaction to Visa cards in Ukraine from Europe made via TransferGo also contributed to providing everything necessary for an uninterrupted educational process in Ukraine — without direct donations from the service customers. TransferGo donated 0.5% of every transfer amount towards UNITED24’s Education and Science program.

The campaign has raised $250,560 to support UNITED24’s educational projects. These funds have been transferred to the account of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and will be used to purchase power generators for 7 vocational schools in the frontline Zaporizhia region to support the training of future specialists in important fields, including energy workers themselves.

“Vocational education isn’t viable in an online format alone. To ensure the proper educational process during war, institutions require additional assistance. Therefore, the government, together with international partners, is investing both in the modernization of vocational education facilities and equipping them with shelters, as well as in providing them with everything necessary to continue studies under power outages caused by russian shelling. The purchase of generators for vocational colleges in the Zaporizhia region is one of these steps. We are grateful to our partners and everyone who joined the campaign,” said Dmytro Zavhorodnii, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization.

During the campaign, the total number of transactions made to Visa cards in Ukraine showed a 7% increase, as compared to the average number throughout the year. Most transfers came from Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Lithuania.

Those TransferGo users who made the most transactions received special gifts from the company.

Every Transfer Matters was supported by many Ukrainian artists and influencers, including TVORCHI and Alyona Alyona. In Warsaw, the Big Things event was organized to promote the campaign.
